Kids on holidays at Johanna River Farm and Cottages – What’s to do.  Lots!  .   Johanna River Farm and Cottages has been welcoming children and their families to the Otways and the Great Ocean Road region for a farmstay experience for many years.  

Our 2 bedroom fully self contained cottages are a popular choice for a family holiday.  Queen size master bedroom and comforts for the adults and a second smaller bedroom with single bed and upper and lower single bunk bed – Ideal for a family of up to 5 people.  Children’s books and DVD’s and wide open places to explore provide a great environment.  

Children can enjoy adventures on the farm, like spotting native wildlife, learning about the natural environment, feeding friendly sheep and a range of friendly farm animals, collecting eggs, and meeting the farm dogs.  

There are areas where children should always be supervised – such as exploring areas around the farm dams and down along the river walk – but the large lawns and gardens around the cottages make for a great outdoor space.

Nearby attractions such as the Otway Fly Treetop walk, The Cape Otway Lightstation, Johanna beach, a range of rainforest and waterfall walk, and the Otway National Park mean parents have loads of options to keep the kids entertained.  

There’s also scenic drives along the Great Ocean Road to the 12 Apostles, and seaside and hinterland townships to visit and explore.   

Next school holidays in Winter – June July – and then Spring school holidays – September.   They come around so quickly.  Check our availability.
