Not only Dogs on Holidays.  We’ve had feline guests, rabbits, guinea pigs, even the family budgie has  enjoyed a farm stay with their family.   As long as guests let us know they are holidaying with their pet and are happy to abide by conditions, then Pets Are Welcome.

What’s to do if we holiday with our dog?

You can really enjoy a holiday with your fur baby in the Otway region.  There are a number of pet friendly sites to visit along the Great Ocean Road.   We provide guests with a ‘Pet Friendly’ listing of places they can visit with their dog.

Johanna beach which is just down the road from the farm is part of the Otways National Park – but does allow dogs on leads.   There’s also nearby forest park and rainforest and waterfall regions which allow dogs.  We enjoy Beauchamp Falls – a beautiful waterfall and a great walk through the forest too.   A number of cafes in the region are pet friendly and usually have a doggy bowl of water near outdoor dining areas.   

We ask guests to keep the lead on at all times when exploring the farm.   Especially when near other guests and our farm stock.  However, there are a couple of off lead areas on our farm for well behaved pets.   Explore the river walk (which is fenced off from the rest of the property and the little fern gully is perfect for off lead walkies!.

The farm and cottages are not suitable to leave pets unattended.  So if guests go out exploring, they must take their dogs with them.  Comforts for pets on holidays include feed bowls, doggy towels, and a rug – which most guests place near the warmth of the fireplace or in the cool of the laundry and each cottage has a yard.   A few other conditions apply .  Get in touch if you need to clarify any details.  You can view the conditions for holidaying with your pet on our website and check our availability on our website book button.
